It is that time again- time to sacrifice saturday morning cartoons or internet creeping session to get out of doors and do something to positively impact your community and environment!
Saturday April 21st at 9 am, Clean Ocean Action is having their 27th Annual Beach Sweeps! It all started with one beach sweep location with 75 volunteers, and this year there are 72 locations all up and down the Jersey coastline, and over the years a grand total of over 90,000 people have participated and removed over 4.5 million pieces of trash. That couldn’t be possible without volunteers like you! and sponsors to help keep Clean Ocean Action operational.Today our beach clean ups are sponsored by awesome folks like Atlantic City Electric, Shoprite, Comcast, and Bank of America.
I will be at the Poplar Avenue in Wildwood location- hoping for another great turnout! Our record has been approximately 120, and I am hoping to beat that this year! If you can’t make Wildwood’s location be sure to check out the other sites out there.
This year there is another option for you all who wish you could donate your time but cannot, you can donate money directly to Clean Ocean Action through their sponsor site.
